Regional Extensions

LAU Medical School aims for regional pre-eminence by adopting strategic objectives which will establish triangular collaborations among local and regional affiliated teaching hospitals, our partners in American medicine, and LAU. This will create a regional hub for training, and a strong basic science and clinical research base, while LAU-affiliated hospitals will aim to become regional patient referral points. We are aspiring to be one of the region’s best medical school, as we prepare students to become exceptional global citizens, promote the values of a civil and sustainable society, and conduct outstanding research to serve the people of Lebanon and the greater Middle East. Our plan is enacted through a range of strategies to address our key priorities: people, learning, research, community, and internationalization.
