Annual Graduate Medical Education (GME) Research Day 2022: Submission of Research Projects


The second Graduate Medical Education Research Day is dedicated to all GME trainees (residents and fellows) at LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine in order to recognize and share research activities and projects they are involved in.

This year, the annual GME Research Day will take place on March 26, 2022.

At the end of this day, prizes will be distributed to the best research activities by trainees. 

Kindly mark your calendars for the following dates: 

  • Deadline for submission: Friday, February 11th, 2022 
  • Annual GME Research Day: Saturday, March 26th, 2022

In preparation for the event, residents and fellows are kindly asked to submit any research projects they are involved in to the GME Research Subcommittee. 

The proposal file should be sent to the GME Research Subcommittee (before midnight of February 11th, 2022): Ms. Celina Badran ( copying your program director and mentor. 

Submission requirements to the research committee are: 

  1. IRB approval 
  2. Completed Proposal and/or drafts of ongoing research or submitted project 
  3. Project abstract 
  4. PowerPoint presentation (template will be provided):
    • No more than 5 slides including:
      • Title with name of trainee and mentor; background; Methods; Results and Conclusions (if available) 
    • Data/results should be presented in a graphic form rather than textual presentation, such as an infographic design including tables, figures, charts or histograms
  5. The allocated time for each presentation is 3 minutes with 2 min for discussion.
