On behalf of the Lebanese American University, it is with great pleasure that we invite you to the first LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine International Conference on Medical Education, held on 21-22 November, 2014 at the Mövenpick Hotel, Beirut.
The theme of this year’s conference is “catalyze change in medical education in order to improve the quality of health care”. We aim at gathering practitioners, researchers and educators from around the world who are engaged in Medical Education in order to:
- Address current challenges in medical education
- Promote quality of care and patient safety
- Encourage networking among educators in health professions and the various health-related entities
An inspirational program will be covering topics such as curriculum development, continuous professional education, assessment in health professions education, interprofessional education, and impact of medical education on patient safety. In addition, the program will include specific hands-on experience through workshops and round tables led by world renowned professionals from the UK and the USA, among other leading countries in medical education.
