Cardiology Conference

Welcome Message

April 17-18, 2026

Dear Colleagues,

Since the first percutaneous mitral commissurotomy via the trans-septal approach was performed in Lebanon at our hospital in 1993, the field of valvular heart disease treatment has undergone a remarkable transformation.

Today, innovative approaches in structural heart interventions have turned our daily work in the catheterization lab into a dynamic and rewarding journey—one filled with both challenges and achievements.

From the outset of cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology at our institution, a close and collaborative relationship between cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and cardiac anesthesiologists has been our guiding model. Long before the term “Heart Team” became widespread two decades later, we had already embraced this multidisciplinary philosophy as the cornerstone of optimal patient care.

As our expertise deepens, so too must our collaboration. This symposium will explore the evolving frontiers of cardiovascular medicine—from the management of valvular heart disease and complex modern angioplasty guided by intracoronary imaging, to the latest advances in ablation therapy and left atrial appendage occlusion.

Live case transmissions and an engaging spectrum of complex, real-world clinical scenarios will provide fertile ground for interactive discussion. Throughout the day, we are honored to welcome a distinguished faculty of renowned experts who will share their insights and experience.

Under the auspices of our Scientific Societies, we aim to deliver a symposium that is not only highly scientific and well-balanced but also truly on the cutting edge of cardiovascular technology.

We thank you for your continued participation and support in advancing interventional cardiology. We look forward to your presence and active engagement.

Warmest regards,
