Alain El Asmar, MD

Dr. Alain El Asmar is an accomplished medical professional with a diverse range of experiences and achievements. He embarked on his journey in the field of medicine, earning his Doctor in Medicine degree from the University Saint Joseph in 2016. Subsequently, he went to on to complete his Emergency Medicine Residency at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) in 2020.
During his medical career, Dr. El Asmar has been actively involved in various academic and professional roles. He served as the Administrative Chief Resident of the Emergency Medicine Department at AUBMC from April 2019 to June 2019, demonstrating his leadership skills and commitment to his field. Furthermore, he holds certifications in advanced medical support, such as ATLS (Advanced trauma life support), BLS (Basic life support), ACLS (Advanced cardiac life support), NRP (Neonatal resuscitation protocol), and PALS (Pediatric advanced life support). He is also ACLS instructor at the LAU simulation Center in Byblos. He was also elected Secretary and Member of the Board of Directors of the Lebanese Society of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. El Asmar’s dedication extends beyond the hospital walls, as he has engaged in volunteer work, offering free medical consultations to those in need. He has also been an active member of various committees, such as organizing anti-tobacco and breast cancer awareness campaigns.
His academic pursuits have been complemented by his business acumen, as he holds a Business Management Diploma from the International Business Management Institute in Berlin, Germany.
Notably, Dr. El Asmar has contributed to the medical literature with several publications, including research on topics such as cardiac arrest outcomes and low back pain among hospital staff.
