Malko Dunya, MD
Clinical Assistant Professor
Anatomy Discipline Coordinator
I maintained a clinical practice in urology for 23 years. When the Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine was founded at LAU, I traveled to the University of Iowa to gain further expertise in anatomy and anatomy education. There I studied under Dr. Adel Afifi, a world authority in these areas, and I returned to help establish the school of medicine pre-clinical curriculum. Since that time, I have coordinated the medical school’s program in anatomy. With our anatomy team, I strive always to introduce new and effective educational approaches. We make optimal use of our excellent gross anatomy laboratory, inviting residents from different clinical departments to review their anatomy, and welcoming expert clinical faculty to assist in dissections.
