Souha S. Allam, MD

Clinical Assistant Professor

Dr. Souha S. Allam is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine and LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital, with expertise in vitreo retinal diseases in adults and children with special interest in retinopathy of prematurity. She completed her M.D. degree at Saint Joseph University in Lebanon in 2000, then pursued an internship training in Surgery and her residency at AUB between 2000 and 2004. At the University of Virginina, she completed a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery from 2006 to 2008. Dr. Allam is an active member of multiple local and international scientific societies. She is a member of the Executive Board of the Lebanese Ophthalmic Society. She is also an active researcher and has authored many publications in peer reviewed journals.  Dr. Allam serves as a consultant in major teaching hospitals in the country. She has expertise in various retinal diseases, diagnosis and treatment.
