Clinical Simulation Diploma in collaboration with The National Health Education and Training in Simulation Program - Monash University, Australia

Description

This innovative program is designed to meet the requirements of a range of health professionals who wish to develop specialist knowledge, skills and understanding of simulation as a modality for teaching and supporting learning and assessment.

Participants will benefit from the use of an interprofessional setting, the ‘state of the art’ LAU-Clinical Simulation Center with input from expert academic and clinical staff.

Objectives

Participants who complete the course will be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the learning theories that underpin simulation learning and teaching.
  • Design, implement and evaluate the effective simulation-based educational program in a specific health professional context.

Format

The Diploma is presented as 3 modules using a blended approach with online and face-to-face learning at the LAU - Clinical Simulation Center

  • Teaching and learning the simulation in the clinical context.
  • Applied simulation in health profession education.
  • Use of simulation-based education for assessment.

Credits

Five credits or 75 hours

Requirements

Doctor in Medicine, Doctor of   Pharmacy, Master of Science in Nursing.
