Camille Samaha, MD

Dr. Camille Samaha is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Trauma. He completed extensive training in orthopedic surgery and general surgery in France, after having received his M.D. degree from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. Beginning in 1997, Dr. Samaha held the position of Chef de Clinique Assistant (CCA) for two years in the Orthopedic Department of the Salpêtrière University Hospital. Furthermore, in 1999, he attained the Diploma of Specialized Complementary Studies (DESC) in Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery from the University of Saint Antoine in Paris.
Subsequently he returned to Lebanon to embark on his clinical career. In 2002, he joined the (then) Rizk Hospital as an orthopedic surgeon on the part-time staff. In 2003, he was also recruited to the Department of Orthopedics and Trauma at the Middle East Institute of Health – Bsalim. In 2010, the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine recruited Dr. Samaha to be a member of its part-time faculty. Recently, he was appointed to the full-time faculty and will be practicing at LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital.
