Dr. Ghanem is an American Board-Certified Physician in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology. He currently serves as the Chief of the Hematology-Oncology Division at the Lebanese American University Medical Center – Rizk Hospital (LAUMC-RH). Dr. Ghanem earned his Medical Degree (MD) from the Faculty of Medicine at Saint Joseph University in Beirut.

He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey, USA, followed by a 3-year fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. He further specialized by completing a sub-specialty fellowship in Leukemia at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Ghanem is an Associate Professor at the Lebanese American University and is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents. He is the founder and former director of the Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program at LAUMC-RH. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards for outstanding clinical achievements and has authored over 40 papers and book chapters.

In addition to his academic and clinical roles, Dr. Ghanem is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society and is actively involved in several committees related to patient care, ethics, and patient satisfaction. He also chairs the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at LAUMC-RH and serves on the Ministry of Health committee for oncology drug approvals. Dr. Ghanem frequently lectures nationally and internationally at oncology seminars and symposia, contributing his expertise to the field.
