Dr. Jamil Barhoum is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, at the LAU Medical Center - Rizk Hospital. He specializes in the treatment and management of tropical, zoonotic, and other infectious diseases, with a research focus on brucellosis and multidrug-resistant (MDR) Enterobacteriaceae. Dr. Barhoum earned his M.D. degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Lebanese University in 1998 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases in 2003. He pursued further training with a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Bichat-Claude Bernard Hospital in Paris, France, in 2005. He is a member of the Lebanese Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology and the Saudi Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology.
