Samer Traboulsi, MD

Dr. Samer Traboulsi is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Urology at the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine and medical centers. He received his medical degree in 2008 and completed his residency in Urology in 2014 at the American University of Beirut. Dr. Traboulsi then traveled to Canada where he obtained a two-year post-doctoral research fellowship in Biology and Therapy of Urothelial Carcinoma at McGill University in Montreal. He subsequently joined the University of Montreal in 2016 where he completed a two-year clinical fellowship in Urologic Oncology; there he was involved in major therapeutic trials for prostate cancer, whose results have recently been published. Subsequently, from 2018-2019, he pursued a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery through a joint program at McGill University and the University of Montreal. 

Dr. Traboulsi is the author of more than 16 peer-reviewed publications and two book chapters. He is also a reviewer for several  international scientific journals including the Journal of Urology,  the Gold Journal and the Canadian Urological Association Journal. Dr. Traboulsi furthermore is the recipient of the University of Montreal Research Center Scholarship in 2016 and 2017.

His clinical and surgical focus are open and minimally invasive treatment of urologic malignancies in addition to benign genitourinary diseases. Dr. Traboulsi will be covering our main clinical campus at LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital, as well as the new LAU Medical Center- Saint John’s Hospital in Jounieh.
