Wael Abdallah, MD, MPH

Dr. Wael Abdallah is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Lebanese American University Gilbert (LAU) and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine. He practices at the Lebanese American University Medical Center (LAUMC), with clinical expertise in Maternal–Fetal Medicine, high-risk pregnancies, prenatal diagnosis, fetal therapy, multiple gestations, and advanced prenatal ultrasound.

Dr. Abdallah earned his medical degree from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, where he also completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He subsequently pursued advanced fellowship training in Maternal–Fetal Medicine at Sainte-Justine University Hospital, one of North America’s leading tertiary referral centers for high-risk obstetrics and fetal therapy. He also completed several inter-university diplomas in obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound, maternal pathologies, and fetal medicine from Université Paris Cité. Dr. Abdallah is an affiliated subspecialist of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

In parallel with his clinical training, Dr. Abdallah obtained a Master of Public Health from Université Paris-Saclay, with a concentration in biostatistics and biomedical research methodology. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Montreal, where his research focuses on twin pregnancies, fetal therapy, and outcomes following advanced fetal interventions, including laser treatment for twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.

Dr. Abdallah is actively engaged in research, with peer-reviewed publications in the fields of fetal medicine and high-risk obstetrics. His current academic interests include fetal growth disorders, prenatal imaging, twin pregnancies, and multidisciplinary care for complex maternal and fetal conditions. In addition to his clinical and research activities, he is committed to medical education and the advancement of Maternal–Fetal Medicine services, with a patient-centered approach emphasizing early diagnosis, evidence-based care, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
