Eureka “6-100P”

Dating probably to the mid or late thirties, this single-focus tube is closely similar in size, conception and design to the Machlett “CYR”, the first “protected” air-cooled X-ray tube introduced in 1934.

The housing is made of heavy radio-opaque material, with lead content. The cone is visibly lead-lined.

The low-angle tungsten target is embedded in a heavy copper anode, cooled by an external multilayer black-painted copper radiator. The focal spot is of the line-focus (Goetze) type, and its visual projection is about a 3mm square.

The filament connection is by an Edison screw-cap.
