Eureka EV-8-140

The air-cooled Eureka kenotron pictured above was acquired from the same source and at the same time as the kenotron pictured below of unknown make and without any model number.

They have practically the same size as the KR-3 kenotron by General Electric, with a highly similar internal structure.

They probably date to the Thirties. The markings on the Eureka tube specify a filament current of 12.5-15 Amperes, and the “140” in the type number probably refers to a peak high voltage of 140 Kilovolts.
