Philips X-ray TV Camera
Ref. J11
This camera was used for high definition X-ray TV monitoring. Dating back to the early seventies, this TV pick-up camera was adapted to the output phosphor of the image intensifier through an elaborate high definition optical system, with an extremely wide aperture (f:0.75). It was equipped with a ¾ inch plumbicon pick-up camera tube.
In the late eighties and early nineties the whole optical system was replaced by fiber-optics, transmitting the image from the image intensifier to the camera tube.
Nowadays, the camera tube is replaced by a digital sensor like the ones used in digital cameras.
