“Rörix” Large Size X-ray Tube

Ref. K8

“Rorix” was a well known brand of X-ray tubes made in the German Democratic Republic (Eastern Germany) which ceased to exist as such in 1990. Presently “Rorix” is non-existent in the X-ray market.

This tube was offered to me in the seventies. No technical specifications are not available. But as seen in the picture, it has two focal spots, large and small, with two parallel filaments that look in good condition. The anode disk surface seems to be in a perfect condition.

Judging from the glass discoloration, this tube has been used for some time but presently it is not in a working condition, having probably lost its vacuum.

Note the presence of Cyrillic characters in the tube number, possibly indicating this tube was intended for use in some eastern European country.
