Professor Hossam Hamdy

Dr. Hossam Hamdy is a professor of Surgery and Medical Education. He is a world-renowned medical educator, scholar and practicing pediatric surgeon. He has established, contributed to and led several medical colleges in the Arab World.

He is active in medical education research and has published many studies in medical education and surgery. He has also introduced several innovations and best practices in the field.

Dr. Hamdy was decorated by the French Republic with the prestigious “Chevalier dans L’Ordre des Palmes Academiques” in 2011. He received the Health Worker Recognition Award: Health Professionals Education from the World Health Organization Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean in 2021, and in 2023, the Emirati Doctor Award.
