Dr. Marc Lazarovici
Dr. Marc Lazarovici is a medical doctor of Internal Medicine, human factor trainer and computer scientist. He graduated from the Munich Medical School (LMU) in 2002 and studied Computer Science, part time, at University Hagen between 2000 and 2011. Since 2003, he has been a human factor and CRM trainer in the medical field. Currently, he is leading the Human Simulation Center at the Institute for Emergency Medicine, Medical Center of the Munich Ludwig-Maximilians-University, while working as trainer in different medical simulation settings and teaching as a visiting professor at the UMFST University in Romania.
Dr. Lazarovici is member of the SsiH and SESAM and a co-founder of the German Simulation Society (DGSiM). He was a member of the SESAM board’s Executive Committee between 2016 and 2023, and also served as treasurer and SESAM president. Dr. Lazarovici is also a co-founder and active auditor of the SESAM Accreditation Group. He currently sits on the board of the Global Network for Simulation in Healthcare (GNSH). His research interests and activities focus on further developing learning opportunities through simulation, be it by developing new extended reality simulators or by researching the implications using AR/VR technology in healthcare environment, especially in team settings. Another field of research interest for him is the usability of medical devices.
