Rare Diseases Day 2026

Welcome Message

Saturday, March 7, 2026 (8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Beirut Time)

We invite you to participate in the fourth Rare Disease Day 2026 conference, which aims to raise awareness and update participants on the latest advances in clinical and molecular diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of rare diseases. This conference will be held at the LAU Beirut Campus, Irwin Hall Auditorium.

This year’s meeting is particularly significant as we celebrate 30 years of newborn screening in Lebanon. Accordingly, the scientific program will feature multiple lectures dedicated to neonatal screening, alongside sessions addressing prevention strategies and therapeutic advances.

The conference will host six international speakers, in addition to distinguished national experts. The speakers will collaborate to share expertise and promote awareness in the field of rare diseases (see program).

The target audience includes healthcare professionals, faculty, medical students, residents, and staff, as well as healthcare providers involved in the care of patients with rare diseases (including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and others). The invitation will also be extended to the Lebanese Order of Nursing, the Lebanese Order of Pharmacy, and the Lebanese Order of Physicians. Members of the general public and specialized institutions with an interest in rare diseases are also welcome to attend.

We look forward to your participation. The conference will be preceded by a free concert on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the LAU Beirut Campus, Irwin Hall Auditorium, at 7:00 PM.

With our warm regards,
