Dr. Johny Abboud completed his medical degree at Saint Joseph University, followed by a diploma in Internal Medicine and Cardiology from the University of Balamand. He continued his education in France, earning a diploma in Cardiac Electrophysiology from the University of Paris René Descartes and a diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound from the University of Paris XII.

With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Abboud specializes in the treatment and follow-up of patients with cardiac diseases. In addition to managing patients with chest pain, heart failure, and hypertension, his subspecialty is the management of cardiac arrhythmias, which he treats using both medical therapies and invasive methods. These include the implantation of pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and the ablation of cardiac arrhythmias using advanced 3D mapping systems.

Dr. Abboud served as the Head of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Unit at St. George Hospital, Beirut, since 2015. In January 2022, he joined the cardiology team at the Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury LAU School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Director of the Cardiology Fellowship Program.
