Rony Al Nawar, M.D. is a Clinical Instructor at the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine and an attending physician in the Department of Anesthesiology at the LAUMedical Center - Rizk Hospital. Dr. Al Nawar earned his medical degree from the Lebanese University School of Medicine and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC). Following graduation, he joined the Department of Anesthesiology at Institut Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus Grand Paris in France for specialty training in anesthesia for head-and-neck and gynecologic oncologic surgeries focusing on difficult airway management. There he mastered a number of advanced techniques such as awake fiberoptic intubation, jet ventilation, and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia including paravertebral blocks.
