Siemens Deep Therapy Tube

Ref. E14

This is a 250-300. kV deep radiotherapy tube dating to the 1950’s or 1960’s. It is oil-immersed, 16“(40 cm) long, and weighs 9 lbs (4 Kg).

It has a line focus cathode, a deep-hooded anode with a deep-seated tungsten target and a Beryllium window, ground glass X-ray output port. The anode cooling happens by forced oil circulation inside the hollow anode body.

(The oil inlet and outlet holes are visible deep inside the anode end of the tube).
