Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC)

The Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) oversees and reviews the various elements of the residency program, in accordance with ACGME-I criteria. Its principal aim is to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and training in an optimal learning environment.

The GMEC meets regularly to address issues of policy and procedure, scheduling, trainee and program evaluation, and other aspects of resident education. The full terms of reference of the GMEC are contained within the bylaws of the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine and are accessible to the school’s faculty.
