Dr. Georges Ghanem
Dr. Ghanem obtained his MD degree from Saint Joseph University in Lebanon in 1985, followed by Cardiology residency and fellowship training in Paris and additional training in the United States.
A pioneer in interventional cardiology in Lebanon since 1993, he has authored more than 70 publications. He was elected President of the Lebanese Society of Cardiology in 2005 and became a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology in 2006 and the American College of Cardiology in 2007.
At LAU, Dr. Ghanem was appointed Chief Medical Officer of LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital in 2016 and promoted to Full Professor of Cardiology at the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine in 2017. In 2023, he was appointed Deputy CEO for Strategy & Development. He also holds professional certificates in Strategic Health Planning and Management and Leadership.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Ghanem played an active national role through the LAU mobile clinic, supporting awareness, PCR testing, and vaccination efforts across Lebanon.
Beyond his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Ghanem is a master in martial arts, with extensive experience in sports and health counseling and war medicine.

Radoslaw Parma, MD, PhD,
Dr. Parma is a leading Polish interventional cardiologist based at the Upper Silesian Medical Centre (GCM) and the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. He has more than 20 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine and is recognized internationally for his expertise in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI/TAVR), structural heart interventions, and complex coronary procedures. Dr. Parma has been performing TAVI procedures since 2008 and is actively involved in the development of advanced strategies for valve therapy, including redo-TAVI procedures, bicuspid aortic valve treatment, and CT-based procedural planning. In addition to his clinical work, he serves as Chair of the Training and Certification Committee of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) and is a member of the European Commission Medical Devices Expert Panel, contributing to education, certification, and regulatory excellence in cardiovascular medicine across Europe.
