1- The Hybrid Operating Room: A Nicety or Necessity

Samer Koussayer, MD, FACS, RVT, FUHM

Dr. Koussayer is currently a consultant and Program Director of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center in Riyadh, KSA. He also an Associate Professor and teaching Faculty at the Al Faisal University, College of Medicine.

Dr. Koussayer completed his residency in General Surgery at the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, and in Vascular Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He also did specialized fellowship in Endovascular surgery with Dr. Edward B. Diethrich at Arizona heart institute in Arizona.

Dr. Koussayer is American board certified in vascular surgery since 2000 and has more than 23 years’ experience in all aspect of vascular and endovascular surgery. He is active in research and has many publications. He has special interest in EVAR, TEVAR, and open and endovascular repair of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm.

Dr. Koussayer is an invited speaker in many national and international vascular conferences in Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa and USA.
