GME Olympics
On Saturday, October 11th, 2025, the Lebanese American University (LAU) School of Medicine – Graduate Medical Education (GME) community — including residents, fellows, faculty, and program directors — came together for an exciting GME Wellness Sports Day, organized by the LAU GME Wellbeing Subcommittee.This Wellness Day centered around sports, teamwork, and fun! The event featured friendly matches of basketball, football, and table tennis, giving trainees the opportunity to socialize, unwind, stay active, and take a well-deserved break from their demanding day to day clinical responsibilities.
The day was filled with energy, camaraderie, and good spirits, as teams competed enthusiastically, cheering for one another and enjoying every moment — whether they won or lost. Beyond the games, the event underscored the importance of physical fitness, teamwork, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The day concluded with a medal ceremony to honor the winners, followed by a light lunch and warm farewells.
